T'ang Haywen Archives provides a range of services to support collectors, institutions, and art professionals in understanding and verifying works attributed to T'ang Haywen. Led by Mr. Philippe Koutouzis, the expert on T'ang Haywen who has studied the artist's work for over 30 years, the Archives offers authentication services, consultation, and the issuance of Certificates of Authenticity (COA).

Authentication Services

The authentication process is meticulous and multi-faceted, ensuring the integrity of each piece:

 

Thorought Research - The Archives conducts detailed research into the provenance, history, and context of the artwork.

 

Stylistic Analysis - The composition, brushwork, and signature are examined to assess their alignment with T'ang Haywen's known techniques and artistic evolution.

Scientific Analysis - If necessary, advanced methods such as Carbon-14 dating or microscopic examination are used to verify materials and their consistency with the artist's era and practices.

Consultation Services

For collectors, institutions, or art professionals seeking advice or insights into T'ang Haywen's work, the Archives offers consultation services. Whether you need guidance on acquisition, attribution, or understanding the artist's legacy, Mr. Philippe Koutouzis and the Archives team provide expert insights tailored to your needs.

Certificate of Authenticity (COA)

A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is issued by T'ang Haywen Archives to confirm that a work of art is authentic. Each COA is signed and stamped by Mr. Philippe Koutouzis, ensuring its credibility and authority.

If you own a work by T'ang Haywen and wish to obtain a printed certificate or seek authentication or consultation services, please follow the steps below carefully:

Step 1: Open a File for Your Artwork

  • Download and complete the Application Form for File Opening

  • Submit the form along with all the required information, images, proof of payment and a copy of your ID (e.g., passport or national ID card).

  • If the Archives determines the work to be authentic, it will be assigned a catalogue number and included in the catalogue raisonné of T'ang Haywen's oeuvre. 

 

Step 2: Apply for a Certificate of Authenticity

 

Important Notes:

  • The applicant must certify the accuracy of the information provided and confirm their legal ownership, custody, or guardianship of the artwork.

  • All information submitted will be treated with strict confidentiality.

New sources or discoveries at a later date may lead to a revision of the decision. By submitting a work for authentication, the applicant agrees to waive any claims, in any form, against T'ang Haywen Archives.
